Summer in Northern Israel -
Israeli summers are hot, and with the travel restrictions this year, Israel is also very crowded when nobody goes abroad...
But taking a break from routine is essential and we decided to brave the weather and the crowds and go north for a week.
We started in the Lower Galilee at Tzipori national park aka the city of mosaics which was the capital of the Galilee in roman times.
We went to Mount Precipice and saw the amazing view.
We descended to the Valley of Springs and bathed in a natural stream
and lastly, we visited Bet Shean national park at night, when everything is beautifully lit and the weather is bearable.
The second part of the trip was dedicated to the Upper Galilee, Golan Heights and Mount Hermon.
We hiked in two canyons on both sides of the Hula Valley, Iftah in the west and Hazuri in the East, and we even swam in the natural pools of the stream.
We ascended to Mount Hermon, no snow in August but still beautiful, and we took in the views around Birkat Ram, a small lake in an extinct volcano crater.
A bit off the beaten track, in places where it's not so hot even in August, there's always where to go and what to do in Israel.
