Napoleon, Crusaders and Romans in the Galilee מנפולאון ועד יוספוס בגליל

Two days in the Galilee in northern Israel, starting in Akko - the ancient port city that was the capital of the Crusader's Second Kingdom of Jerusalem in the 13th century and the place where Napoleon was defeated in his attempt to conquer the land... and just as important, a colorful market, great restaurants and some of the best hummus in Israel.

Later we continued to Keshset Cave near the border with Lebanon just in time for an amazing sunset in the breathtaking views. The next day we visited Tel Yodfat, the location of one of the most famous battles of the Jewish rebellion against the Roman Empire in the 1st century AD, and from there continued on a beautiful hike to the summit of Mount Atzmon, where there are beautiful panoramas of the entire Galilee.

יומיים בגליל, התחלנו בביקור בעכו העתיקה, בירת ממלכת ירושלים השנייה של הצבלנים והמקום שבו נעצר ניסיונו של נפולאון לכבוש את הארץ, ולא פחות חשוב, שווקים, אוכל מצוין וחומוס מהטובים בארץ. משם המשכנו למערת קשת והנוף והמרהיב הנשקף ממנה.

למחרת ביקרנו בתל יודפת, שם נערך אחד הקרבות הידועים במרד הגדול נגד הרומאים ושם נפל בשבי יוסף בן מתתיהו והפך ליוספוס פלביוס... משם עלינו ברגל לפסגת הר עצמון ממנו ניתן לראות את נופי הגליל, ובמיוחד את בקעת בית נטופה המוצפת אחרי גשמי הברכה של החורף.
