Last week we went on a Bar-mitzvah trip all around Israel with a lovely family from the USA. We started in Old Jaffa and after that we hit the road and traveled all over Israel.
In the north we visited the old mystical city of Safed with it's many synagogues and galleries, we heard about the security issues of Israel along the Lebanese and Syrian borders and after a good Druze lunch we took ATV's and had some off-road fun.
Later we visited Masada and the Dead Sea and rode camels in a Bedouin camp.
During the last days of the visit we stayed in Jerusalem, visited the City of David (where it all started...), celebrated the Bar-mitzvah at the Westen Wall, had a great food tasting tour in the Mahane Yehuda Market, and of course, no visit to Israel is complete without a tour in the Old City of Jerusalem.
A busy week and a great experience, can't wait for the next time...
